Childcare Coordinator

Croydon Shire Council is seeking an experienced Childcare Coordinator to guide and strengthen the Croydon Child Care Centre — a fully accredited service supporting up to 21 children from Birth to Year 6.
This role is about more than operations. It is about making a meaningful impact in a small community where your leadership, guidance and standards directly influence children’s development, family confidence and long-term outcomes.
The Centre operates Monday to Friday, and is a vital support for local families.

The Role

You will:

  • Oversee day-to-day centre operationsLead and support a small team
  • Ensure high-quality care and educational programming
  • Embed the National Quality Framework (NQF) and Standards into practice
  • Build strong relationships with families and the wider community
  • Maintain compliance with relevant childcare legislation

What You Bring

  • Diploma in Children’s Services
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certification
  • Valid Blue Card (Working with Children)
  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of childcare legislation and NQF standards
  • Confident communication skills
  • Commitment to community engagement and team collaboration
