Policy

Council Policy states Council's intent, commitment or position on strategic issues and assists in informing the community and Council officers on Council's desired outcome.  Policies are approved and adopted by Council.

Administrative directives describe what the Chief Executive Officer (acting under the Local Government Act) considers to be appropriate in relation to specific issues arising out of either legislation or Council decisions. They generally relate to the implementation of the day-to-day operations of the council.

Croydon Shire Council is currently reviewing these policies. Some new policies have been adopted and are available to view below. As new policies become availbale they too will be available to view on this website.
