Croydon Shire Council is seeking an experienced and professional Senior Finance Officer to support the effective financial and administrative operations of Council. Reporting to the Director Corporate Services, you'll play an important role within the Finance Team, carrying out a range of financial functions while providing high-level customer service and professional support to Council officers, Councillors, government departments, agencies and members of the public.  You'll work across Council's financial and administrative functions, prepare correspondence and reports, support financial procedures and provide advice to a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

Skills & Experience Required

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Experience working in a finance role
• Strong financial knowledge and attention to detail
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain confidentiality
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and experience with electronic records systems
• Knowledge of financial procedures and principles
• Experience interpreting awards and industrial agreements
• Local Government experience and relevant qualifications are highly regarded

• Base salary of approximately $86,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience
