Things That Bite N’ Sting - FREE community workshop
Join wildlife expert Julian Craig for an engaging 3-hour session exploring Australia’s venomous animals and how to stay safe around them.
Learn the do’s and don’ts of first aid for bites and stings, understand snake behaviour, and gain confidence in preventing encounters. Suitable for children and adults alike, this hands-on session includes a live demonstration with non-venomous snakes.
When: Tuesday 18 November 2025
Times: 9am–12pm or 4pm–7pm
Where: Doris Casey Hall
Cost: Free
What to wear:
Opportunity for up to 6 volunteers to take part in the venomous snake behaviour session. They will need to be wearing:
- Loose-fitting, heavyweight trousers (jeans or similar)
- Long sleeve shirt
- Leather boots
- Knee-high canvas gaiters (supplied by JCT)
Register: Not required, but preferred for catering.
