Croydon Shire Council invites you to join us for the 2026 Croydon Heritage Festival, a week‑long celebration honouring 140 years of history, culture and community spirit in the heart of the Gulf Savannah.

The Heritage Festival is one of Croydon’s most anticipated annual events, bringing together locals, visitors and descendants from across Queensland and beyond for a rich program of activities that celebrate our shared stories and unique heritage. This year marks a special milestone as we reflect on 140 years of resilience, creativity, cultural exchange and community connection.

From 20 to 26 June 2026, the township will come alive with a diverse range of community‑oriented events suitable for all ages. As always, the majority of activities are free to attend and designed to showcase Croydon’s deep history, vibrant culture and welcoming Outback spirit.

A full festival schedule will be released closer to the event dates, with something for everyone to enjoy, including:
