Casual Swimming Pool Attendant

Croydon Shire Council invites applications for the position of Casual Swimming Pool Attendant. Swim teaching qualifications are highly desired however not essential. To be considered for the position the candidate must:

  • hold a current working with children blue card 
  • current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • current Pool Lifeguard Certificate

Training can be provided, Monday 18 September 2023 for First Aid, CPR and Pool Lifeguard certificates.

Plant Operator - Roller Driver

Croydon Shire Council invites applications for the position of Casual Roller driver. Some experience in road construction industry is desired however not essential. To be considered for the position the candidate must:

  • hold a current C class drivers licence
  • be able to work flexible hours in remote camps on 10/4 roster
  • be of an honest and reliable nature

Traineeship - Children's Services

Croydon Shire Council is offering a traineeship opportunity with the Croydon Childcare Centre. 

The traineeship is a full time paid position that is combined with a formal qualification. The successful applicant will gain valuable on the job training and experience and upon completion a nationally recognised qualification.

Eligibility - To be eligible to complete a Traineeship under the Queensland Government’s First Start initiative, you must meet criteria.

All applicants must be:

  • aged 15 years or older and no longer at school; and
  • be able to meet citizen, residency and visa requirements.

Diesel Mechanic / Diesel Fitter

This position is being offered on a 3 year contract, with the remuneration package to be negotiated with the successful Candidate including superannuation, 5 weeks annual leave, relocation assistance and subsidised accommodation. 

Reporting the the Workshop Supervisor and working alongside two Apprentices you will be responsible for maintaining Council's fixed and mobile plant and equipment and vehicle fleet.

Casual Cleaner

Croydon Shire Council invites applications for the position of Casual Cleaner. Cleaning experience is desired however not essential. To be considered for the position the candidate must:

  • hold a current C class drivers licence
  • be able to work flexible hours between 6am to 5pm Monday to Friday
  • be of an honest and reliable nature

Early Childhood Teacher - Working with the Croydon Childcare Centre

Croydon Shire Council is seeking the services of an Early Childhood Teacher to work with the Croydon Childcare Centre. 

The Early Childhood Teacher will need to work with the service for at least 20 percent of the time that the service provides education and care, this calculates to 8.5 hours per week. Under the Education and Care Services National Regulations the Early Childhood Teacher may be working with the service by means of information communication technology which may be calculated on a quarterly basis. The service is licensed for 21 approved places.
