Casual Cleaner

Croydon Shire Council invites applications for the position of Casual Cleaner.



Diesel Fitter

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor and working alongside the 1st Year Apprentice you will be responsible for maintaining Council's fixed and mobile plant and equipment and vehicle fleet. To be successful in the role, you will posess a relevant Trade Certificate along with:

  • Experience in the repair and servicing of fixed and mobile plant and equipment and vehicles including mechanical assembly, welding, electrical testing, air-conditioning, hydraulics, fault finding and diagnostics.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and follow verbal and written directions.
  • Sound level of interpersonal, communication, numeracy and literacy skills.
  • A current 'C' class drivers licence and general construction safety induction card (White Card).
  • HR Truck licence will be highly regarded.

Water Treatment Plant Operator

The provision of safe drinking water is an essential service, applicants must provide effective services in the treatment of water by efficient operation and maintenance of the Croydon Water Treatment Plant including the pumping station and associated infrastructure. Minimum qualification of Certificate III in Water Operations required.

This position will be advertised until filled. Applications will be assessed on submission.


Position Description


Childcare Director

The Croydon Child Care Centre is a service provided by Croydon Shire Council. The centre is fully accredited with the capacity to care for 21 children in a mixed age grouping, from Birth up to including school children to Year 6. The centre operates from 8.15am to 4.45pm, Monday to Friday.

This is a hands-on position, reporting directly to the CEO and responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Croydon Child Care Centre in accordance with the National Quality Framework and the Education and Care Services National Regulations.

Early Childhood Teacher - Working with the Croydon Childcare Centre

Croydon Shire Council is seeking the services of an Early Childhood Teacher to work with the Croydon Childcare Centre. 

The Early Childhood Teacher will need to work with the service for at least 20 percent of the time that the service provides education and care, this calculates to 8.5 hours per week. Under the Education and Care Services National Regulations the Early Childhood Teacher may be working with the service by means of information communication technology which may be calculated on a quarterly basis. The service is licensed for 21 approved places.
