Visitor Information Center

The Savannah Way Themed Adventure Drive, which links Cairns and Broome, is proving to be an emerging tourism winner with spectacular savannah country and rugged landscapes along the way. There are many opportunities for tour operators and investors to take advantage of these resources and establish themselves in the region.
The Visitor Centre operates out of the Croydon Heritage Precinct, which consists of Police Sergeant’s Residence c. 1898, Police Station & Gaol c. 1896, Court House c.1887 & Croydon Town Hall c. 1890. The four (4) buildings are open & free for you to take a wander through.
The Information Centre’s friendly staff can assist you with all your enquiries, big or small, as you travel along the Savannah Way. Get your free copy of “Welcome to Croydon” which has a map, it will help you navigate your way around the town and all its attractions. The Visitor Information Centre’s business hours are 8am to 5pm 7 days a week in the tourism season from May to October and 5 days a week at other times.
