If you are part of a school, recreational or sporting group there may be accommodation available for hire which involves camping at various venues throughout the township e.g.
Rodeo Grounds – Comprises of Shed with Kitchen & Coldroom, several ablution blocks, Stage, large area of grass, stock yards and arena. This venue is suitable for organized Groups &Tours e.g. School of Distance Education School Camps, Variety Club Bash & Postie Challenge.
Swimming Pool Complex – Comprises large air-conditioned hall with audio equipment, swimming pool with ablution blocks & outside play areas. This venue is suitable for artistic, sporting & educational activities for the whole community.
Old Hospital Ward – S.E.S. Hall – Comprises a Conference type venue with modern Kitchen & catering facilities. Wide verandahs surround this historic building. The complex is air-conditioned and has a polished wood floor suitable for dance lessons. The complex has an exterior pottery kiln which is available for use for pottery & ceramic classes/workshops.
Recreation Grounds – Sircom Street – Comprises an Indoor Cricket/ Basketball/Volleyball Complex, Athletics/Cricket/Football Oval, Bowling Green, Catering Facility, Showers & Toilets. This is a multi-functional facility, which is widely utilized by the community for sports and recreational activities.
